My new clutch from RCM just came in the mail, along with my new rod bearing kit and main bearings. I need to know who can install them all for me in the Glendale / Burbank / Pasadena area in Southern California. I live in La Crescenta.

If anyone can recommend a good mechanic who will install these for me (and knows what they're doing) I would appreciate it!

get the shonut video and some tools and do mit yourself. Save some money and gain some experience, I just got done with mine and it was pretty straight forward. It toojk me about 2 full days of work. But I also did rod bearings all new bushings and gaskets.

Its seriously not as easy as you guys are saying it is.... if you dont have all the tools (air compressor, impact gun, nice tool set, torch, jacks, jack stands) then it would end up costing you more than paying a mechanic.... also not everyone is handy with tools, ive witnessed my fair share of people who arent nearly as mechanically inclined as I am. But if you do have all the tools, and the patience to tear into a car that may give you problems with broken bolts (not rust in your case), then definally go for it! My first clutch job was an adventure.... but I also learned alot about my car and how it was treated.

Slick's right. If you don't have the tools, the space, the know-how, or the confidence, I wouldn't mess with it. The last thing you want to do is spend the time and money replacing your clutch, only to find out you screwed something up and have to pay for it again.

Thank you all very much for you input. However, I don't have the tools or space or time to do it myself. I can do maintenance like plugs, oil changes, etc., but I would rather have something like this done right, by someone who really knows what they are doing. Maybe some day in the future I will venture forth and do it myself, but this is my only car and I can't afford to have it out of commission becuase I am working on it for 2-3 days.

Anyone else have a REFERENCE?
