If I might hijack this post a little? Just finished my clutch work too. Everything went great. Shifits great (new fluid), no slipping. The only issue is the pedal feel. The clutch seems to engage late in the pedal throw, meaning almost out before it engages. I put my 7" block back under the clutch pedal to check the cable tension on the tranny; same as it was when I started the job. I did the self adjust "pull" on the pedal several months ago.

I did a couple of searches on the clutch self adjuster, but I'm not really sure what to look for or do. When I pull up on the pedal there is no clicking. The pedal feels a tad softer after the replacment, but it's no suprise seing as I was missing 3 teeth on the PP and the TOB was wasted too.

IIRRC that behind the pedal is the acutal blue adjuster? I see it and can feel up there, but how exactly do you adjust it or verify it's working properly? Is this even my problem? Sorry for the hijack.

I had the same sense after my recent clutch job. I chaulked it up to have gotten used to an old, worn out clutch, TOB, and pressure plate. Now the clutch is doing what it's supposed to when you push it in, rather than doing it at the last second, if you will. The trans disengages RIGHT when you tell it to. It just took a few shifts to "relearn" how to time the shifts with the gas.
