Nobody is making you read my posts, so why do you have to bust my balls because of my methodology?

Maybe it's just me, but I take pride in what I do. Painting an intake with the piping still on the car doesn't show any kind of pride. Generally, people post pictures to show off what they're doing and get some kind of praise. If they weren't, they wouldn't bother posting pics.

He himself said he doesn't care what it looks like, so why should he be so upset?

Id like to think this isnt true but im sure it is. When i first started coming here i thought it'd be pretty grown up. It is, in most aspects. But, there is little "clicks" just like highschool, further more. Theres almost a popularity chain here, i know alot of people who can post problems, including myself and not get any answers to it. Why? i couldnt tell you, I know for one if someone high on the 'popularity' chain gets put down or has a disagreement with someone, it effects other people, im not saying everyone, but some. i thought this place was here to help people learn, but i must've been wrong, i think its for ******* matches now  I'm not saying this is everyone, i just wish we could all be a little more open, friendly, and forgiving at times.

The fact that this thread has somewhat of a nasty edge to it is ridiculous and thats all i'm trying to show here. He's happy with what he's got. You've expressed your disagreement once. That should be enough. Why do you have to go on and on making the same point? What is it going to accomplish? Just take a step back for a second, thats all.

Yes, I wish it were more open... As in, if someone doesn't agree, don't get on the damn case about it!

how can you say it works perfectly, it sounds like it stranded you a few times, i believe you post how it knock audibly because of the low octane fuel you run, and you always having computer issues. this is not an attack, its just my idea of working perfectly is different than yours.

it seems all of the 'I turboed my car for $***' folks have had huge engine issues. there was just a post were two of them posted pics of wrecked pistons from something not being right. all I'm saying is that boost and money mix pretty well.
if you are speaking of me, my pistons melting were not directly related to boost. Yes, boost helped it, but the fact still remains that the motor would have broke with or without boost. It just wouldn't have been as bad without boost. I have one of the cheaper turbo setups and it has everything that is needed to make it run right. Fuel system, tuning and everything else, that most Supercharged cars have. My cam broke and caused my motor a lot of damage. The cam did not break because of boost though...

TT SHO PROJECT,
While I do agree with the fact that the overspray looks bad I don't really care. as you said functionality is everything. I personally prefer having looks too, but my car is by no means a SHOw car and probably never will be. I'm fine with that and you are as well. If you are happy, then that is what matters. keep the progress going and the updates too!:thumb:

I feel compelled to comment here...

This analogy is overplayed and misunderstood. The "popular" or the "in" people in any and every area of life are simply the ones that do the most. Popularity becomes relative to the whims of the person or people who are the most outspoken and the most outgoing in any given environment or microcosm of life. If you want to be noticed or known then become active. Its that simple. What you are saying or doing doesn't even have to be important as long as people take notice of you. Post count on a forum is the ultimate and simplest expression of this phenomenon. Is it a definitive measure of the respect or notoriety a person deserves? Absolutely not. But its as simple as this: the more you do, the more you'll get noticed. Pick the areas in your life that are most important to you (this forum may or may not be on that list) and become as active as possible in them. And don't sweat the other areas that you have decided to only delegate minimal time to.

Now, all that preaching aside and on to the thread....
