Congrats on the camera purchase, and your dog looks friendly!! I think that the new intake pipes are better than they were before (and look better too) the stock airbox hose, as you found out, is not capable of holding any kind of boost pressure. however if I were you, I would scrap plans for the intercooler and make a home-brewed methanol injection system instead, it will give you more performance.

Also, I went to the car technology show today and they atleast 10 of these racing go-carts, like yours, they looked fast as heck and one had a turbocharged 4 banger. I need to get me one of those!!!

I absolutely love the fact that you have a Turbo SHO, Did it yourself and are certainly having fun. However don't ever paint anything on your car ever again. :laugh_ti:

my point being....

in the picture after the one I quoted... the piping is OUT of the car....
catch my drift?????

If you haven't... Why did you paint the pipes IN the car (as well as half your engine bay)?

Its the paint that I am asking about... not the actuall setup, etc...

So when you get the whole car painted are they going to paint over all the wires and everything else you did, or was that just "overspray" to? Not knocking the set up, just it looks like Helen Keleher painted all over it.

it was a quick 30 sec paint job..... i dont care how it looks that much.... and the paint on the wires aint gonna hurt anything..... ill clean it all up once i get her on the road again and ill take more pictures.... piant is changable/removeable.... i might just redo the whole cold side since i basicly have a small shop in my basement now (spent alotta money on stuff to fab my turbo crap) i got everything i need to cut bend and weld metal now so if i redo it, it will be Much nicer... but for now everything worked flawlessly. oh and when i repaint the car im covering everything/removeing as much of the harness as i can.... it will look good, i can promise u that much.

the pipe thats out of the car.... got ripped off by the tow truck when i had it towed home... i had to reweld the bov back on and straten some tsuff up on it thats why its out of the car...
i understand that i should of taken the whole setup out of the car before painting it but seeing as im repainting the whole car i dont mind the over spray for now... it can and will all be cleaned up in do time but for now it works.... im not by all any means building a "SHOw car" just something thats fast and fun to drive. and sorry for comeing off to strong there maybe if u sed some more i wouldnt of... my bad man.

-Turbo bob.

p.s. dunno why the quote didnt work but u know who im talking to :p

LOL. At first I thought it was a photoshop to see what blue would look like -but then I saw the wrench that's painted:oogle:

That is the most hideous SHO engine bay i have ever seen and no, I'm not going to blow you. But hey, whatever makes you happy I guess.

turbo yo shizzle dizle lol... its cheap and easy... took me 2 days to fab the whole thing up. my first kit didnt even work so a scrapped it and this one worked great.. all i have is a turbo... bov and a fmu(dont knock it till u try it) and well for now thats all till i get my intercooler in the mail. iv ran 10psi on it with no problems sofar... im shooting for 14psi with the ic... but i doubt ill have enough fuel to do it but im gonna try... if i blow it up oh well it will give me an excuse to swap in a 3.2 :D ... my first kit was like somedude_001's with the turbo behind the bumper cover... but i was aiming for twins but the t3 i used was dead so i gave up.... didnt want to use a oil pump tpo return the oil to the engine anyways.... this new setup is much more simplistic(sp?)

blue and red can be done, and doesn't really look all that bad. here is an engine we did for a buddy of ours. (after rebuilding the entire thing though)

I wonder how they got all the blue paint on there and not all over the engine bay? they must have painted them off the car:shrug:
