Can’t wait to see an install video on these. Hoping to get in on the next run of them. This is really exciting. I spend most of the summer in south Texas, so I think I will learn the meaning of heat soak soon enough with my stock intercooler. Lol

Yeah the heat soak is ridiculous with the stock unit.

Tuning that allows the fan to turn on earlier helps

Below approx 40 mph. Fans do help at the dragstrip to cool things down quicker while you wait in line, but then so does removing the weatherstrip at the firewall (thanks, brucelinc!), putting vents in the hood (yay, bpd!). Many solutions that can work together to allow you to not lose tenths due to a full metal intake ;)

Now we need a phenolic/composite spacer between the intake and heads....

I meant fans on the intercooler or a water mister, so of like WRXs have to cool the intercooler.
Engine fans are pretty much directly coupled to the cooling "stack". No need for separate fans.

In the summer heat what is a good temp to have the fans come on more aggressively, and what temp would be good for them to come on max , this is a daily driver which is of course well maintained in good shape and driven like its stolen most of the time. Most as in anytime family is not in the vehicle itself. I have a good tune new ptu, new rear. Summer tires amsoil fluids , 3 bar , new plugs and a newer (4,000 miles)windstorm CAI I am selling(200&shipping).

Also a thickness comparison for you. In the first picture I posted I wanted to point out that you can literally see the light coming through the stock intercooler bright as day. Shows how little surface area it really has on it

That would only really help in hot weather. Seems kind of pricey for a 6 month of the year benefit.
