Before Christmas my car wouldn't start one night after work. After jumping it it ran fine. We had a very very cold snap here where it didn't get above 0 for over a week, with lows down to -25F. My car sat outside for 3 days without running and it didn't start when I went out and tried it. After it warmed up a little bit I hooked the battery charger up for a few hours and everything went ok until 2 nights ago when it didn't start after work again. This time it was about 40 degrees, so I knew it wasn't because of the cold.
Took it in to Batteries Plus where I had bought a new battery 3 1/2 years ago and they replaced it for free. The guy said it was 'fried.' On his diagnostic thingy it read about 8.x which I'm assuming is the volts it's putting out(?) Always nice to have a 72 month warranty!
What's been everyone's experience to the average battery life on a Gen 3?
