first of all
Thanks for all the advise you have given me as a new member!!
I had the bushings installed yesturday and....WOW!!! wow!!! wow!!!
what a difference in just about Everything.
Steering accuracy is incredible, and none of the harshness I expected other than a little more body movement between shifts!
By the way it cost me $150.00 to have it done...less parts
WELL WORTH EVERY HARD EARNED PENNY
What a great car and..............
A great group of folks on this forum

Cool! And just think, pretty soon it'll be time for some performance struts and springs. ;)

Everything in good time.....right now I am fighting a oil leak right on to my cat...
scary to think about how much it will cost to repair....
I have already deceided against aftermarket rim/tires because of this...
I think I would rather have the car original on the outside and spend the tire wheel money on springs/struts and new bushings all around....
thanks for your comments
I really didn`t expect them
one again...
proof of an active group of enthusiats

yeah I have an oil leak on that side of my ATX, and the rear might be leaknig slightly..... good thing I work at a tranny shop and can pull that myself. I am even thinking just dropping the whole subframe so I can work on the stuff out of the car and change the gaskets. The Cam sensor gasket could be changed too... As well as many other things cleaned up. Lots of work but great end results.

Good to hear about your joy with the bushings, reminds me of the feeling when I first put mine on the old car.... they are truely a must have for any taurus, they aren't that much harsher in reality and I think anyone could live with it. I can't wait to put them on this 94 SHO and get that great steering feel again of my old car.

For your next mod for the SHO, unlike the other guys I'm going to suggest you do a driver mod lol. Instead of worrying about spending lots of money to pay to get that oil leak fixed, put some of that money into some tools and do it yourself. Get some people to help you even, read around on this forum, there is lots of great information to be had about working on these cars. This accomplishes a few things: First you save money doing work yourself, this equals more mods if you look at it like me. You like the car more and know it better when you work on it yourself. You should find it fun and rewarding after time, when you do things right its also good to know you did it instead of relying on someone else's work.

You could have easily installed those subframe bushings yourself. It really wouldn't have required a lot of different tools. A jack, some stands, a 2x4 piece of wood, maybe a file or such.... would have saved you 150 bucks. It suprises me what SHO owners will work on right in their driveway, and a lot of people don't work on cars normally but started when they got the SHO and learn a lot from it.
