Just got done developing this complete cold side air intake system for a Lincoln MKS. Results have been good so far at a +1 psi boost increase and 20 rear wheel horsepower. Was hoping to get some feedback from everyone. Thanks...

20 to the rear wheels? How did you stop the front ones from spinning? Many people would be interested in this :p

Looks good.

Looks great! Anyway you could do it in plastic? I only say that because I currently have the Hennessey kit and the piping gets super hot! By the way, if you need a SHO owner to test it out, I would be the guinea pig! :)

Cool looking kit. How much to get the SHO intake cover and front headlight cover coated with a carbon fiber looking hydro graphics?

I think it looks sharp from the one posted pic.....

I'd be interested in this product as well as I have purposely been holding off on purchasing an intake due to the fact that any of them out there right now, don't really address the need for actual improvement in air flow (from what I understand).

It seems most thus far have simply just jammed an open element onto the factory / OEM piping...... not worth it other than mere bling factor IMHO.

But yea FLT, if you find a producer & start making these, I'd be interested.

Me personally, I might be inclined to have my piping powder coated or painted the OEM metallic white to help offset so much of the black plastic/piping in the engine bay as it sits now......

Keep us posted please. :munch:

monitoring actual intake air temps means alot more then perceived piping temps. Somedudes turbo car would run 85* air temps all day under boost, but park it after a hard run and the MAF sensor plastic was hot enough to burn you by the time you got the hood open.

Case in point: winged warriors. Maf blew off during the autocross event so i pulled it off atthe TB and tried to force it back together. I had a round ring on my stomach for 2+ weeks afterwards and lost some skin in the process. 5 minutes later i was rigging the exhaust back up on a turbo scoobie with my bare hands and it didnt leave a mark at all.

Sounds good FLT.....I'm interested in how the changed airflow will change boost pressure. Is it just a matter of more air pressure in means more air pressure out of the turbos?

I'm mostly in agreement here, other then instead of OEM white, I'd perfer polished stainless, although I understand that would increase $$.

We did the cold-side piping in aluminum to keep weight, cost and heat down initially. We are going to build this kit in aluminum for now, but are considering injection molding them in plastic later.
