2-11-16 purchased my 2011 SHO All wheel drive. I am 71 yrs old and have wanted one of these most of my life, closest vehicle I had was a Lincoln Mark III. My SHO has 75,000 miles and has every option available. I got it used from a local dealer.
I am having trouble learning everything about these SHO's. I also do not know how a Forum works so bear with me. If anyone has information about the trunk lid rusting out on the bottom of the trunk lid please advise me, if possible as to what I need to do. I can contact Ford Dealer but they aren't much help so far. I was told that there is a Factory Warranty up to 100,000 miles. So far no luck or anything to reference.
I also love everything this vehicle does except make noise from the exhaust system, I want to change to something cool in the near future and looking for input on exhaust systems or ways to change things without getting Hits from the onboard computer.
I can be contacted via email [email protected]

Welcome to SHOforum, beamerkk, and congrats on the '11. The hardest part about a forum is usually finding the threads you have created yourself :) You are an Apple device user, I take it, given your EMail address? If you click on (or hover over) your forum name (across the top, right hand side), then select YOUR CONTENT, you will see the threads where you have posted. HTH.

Ford won't do a thing about rust unless it is perforating rust, meaning it creates a hole in a body panel. If the rust is more "surface", it can be wire-wheeled out, primered with rust preventer, and then painted/cleared.

If the previous owner extended their factory warranty, I can see 100K, but usually, bumper to bumper is 3/36, while powertrain is 5/60. So you will need to ask for details on this warranty. Very likely a Ford ESP warranty.

The SHO tends to run very quiet by design. Being a V6, it won't sound like a V8, though with some work it can be made to sound reasonably good, such as with a Corsa catback or Xpipe + Dynomax mufflers, etc.
