Hey all, as chance would have it I've found myself behind the wheel of a 2011 SHO and oh boy, i think ive fallen in love. Had little to no knowledge of this car before purchase, and it was the only vehicle in my price range after the old Lincoln threw in the towel. She's got 140k, a small bit of rust, some front end damage, and in need of some love and care under the hood. Money is tight and parts aren't cheap but im excited to learn all i can about this beautiful machine. Any input is always welcome and I look forward to interacting with yall!

Welcome, if money is tight...I would highly consider cleaning it up and dumping it.
Haha..... right outta the gate. Welcome to the platform......LOL.

SM105's probably right, but never know what a little elbow grease and some DIY can result in.

Particularly since another member just posted about achieving 200k on all OE parts. You very likely still have some life in her.

Give it a whirl. Post some pics. Don't get to discouraged right off the bat. They're decent cars which, just like the older (term used loosely) GEN's were/are ahead of their time.

Yeah thats the route I plan on taking her I think, she's a daily but it's a pretty soft drive and I'm "mechanically inclined" and have plenty of professional connections when it comes to information, parts, and labor that's out of my skill set. I think there's a lot of potential to really bring out the strong yet comfortable sleeper this car wants to be. I'll definitely be posting pics once I finish maintenance and start giving it some TLC

This is where I was with my first SHO back in the 90's. Old beat up rusty performace machine. That thing almost broke my back financially. I do not wish this lesson upon others. If the cost starts to rise too high, know when to bail. You can always come back into one when cash is less of an issue. These have multiple failure points vs a more traditional 2wd naturally aspirated vehicle.

100%. My first SHO financially crippled me. I don't wish that on others as well.
