Hook up your amp power to the starter solenoid(on the drivers fender) and then run your large wire (4 ga? or larger) to the amp. Don't forget to put a large ass fuse just after the solenoid. If your amp fuse is say 20 amps, put a 40 or 50 amp fuse at the solenoid. the solenoid fuse is just for vehicle protection. If you ever get hit and the wire gets pinched against ground (body) it will glow red hot and cause a fire. Ever look in a toaster? LOL and let us know how it goes.

Sorry Mobile, you won't be able to use those directions, due to Gen II's having a starter solenoid on the starter. The easiest way to do your install would be to purchase a new battery clamp and insert the amp wire in (If you get a big enough clamp) or simply crimp a ring terminal on the amp wire, and put it in between the clamp and the nut you'd turn to tighten the clamp. Good luck!

I'm playing with 1200 watts and all I have is a 24k crimp ring. Which then leads to a 60 amp fuse. No problems as of yet. And its been over a year.

If there is a bolt and nut, ai used to put a ring connectot(yellow) behind the head of the bolt and the tightened it up. This way the ring connector does not turn.
