I recently got my tune and was enjoying the increase in power. Today we installed the even flo therm and 3 bar and put the new nkg plugs in. They were suppose to be pre gapped but I will have to check them. Now after I reprogrammed the car with the new parts installed its different. When I punch the gas it barely moves but rpms go up. It's fine of the line but not after 4k rpm. It barely moves or speeds up. I installed the nkg6509 plugs on it. If it's not properly gapped would it cause that issue? If not what could be the cause? Any help would be appreciated

Did you download new data files for the 3-bar MAP? Did you install the MAP in the correct place? There are two MAP sensors.

According to the NGK site, these plugs are gapped at 0.044 from the factory, so they would have to be gapped to 0.030 before use. So checking the plug gap is a good move, as it CAN cause spark blowout/power loss at higher rpm's.

Interested on how these perform. bpd runs the next colder range plug in his timewarp SHO.

I'll have to gap them then and I will let you guys know how they do. The car is adjusting a bit but still not there. I'll take them out and gap them to .30 and see. Thanks and yes the 3bar was installed correctly. I had the service light come on right away before new tune was installed. Thanks everyone

I really wouldn't recommend driving it until you check the gapping. You can cause some pretty serious damage.

Finally fixed the gap on all the plugs. They were all off. Some .38 or some .42 but all adjusted to .30 and running smooth. Issues is resolved and I'm loving it. Thanks everyone for the help and definetly recommend doing it to your SHO asap. Your missing out if your not
