I have been debating whether go boost(minimal psi) or +20 cammed n/a either would need lpm or tweccer to run, correct me if I'm wrong. Since I don't have quaife...a bit leery here. What ball park figure chp would ported runner+BBB and fresh head work with +20 cam along with 80mm maf can be had compared to just slap on 9 psi turbo set up?

Ported runners, BBB, turbo, tweecer. It's really all you need. But if you want to stay N/A; cams, pistons, boring, blah, blah, blah is how you'll want to go. Turbo is ultimately cheaper.

Well, here's my opnion on the subject. If it's truely a daily driver, where you will do most of your shifting at 3K, cam's aren't helping you out much. With cams, the yamahammer likes to rev. This is not how you drive on a REALISTIC daily grind.

Boost would be better suted for a DD. More grunt available lower in the rev range.

Of course, we haven't talked about a 3.2 swap which is great for a DD.

Yes, it's my daily driver car and 3.2 in it.

I'll have to agree with boost... I've gone the NA route, then the boost route. For the money, boost is definitely the way to go. Considering you could build a turbo, or remote-mount turbo setup pretty cheap, I would consider it.

Thats it!? Shit, Im getting a turbo!!

The NA route is alot cheaper because all the supporting mods arent necessary. But when you boost, it isnt cheap, and supporting mods certainly are necessary. Ported runners, and BBB's while nice to have for better flow, aren't. You can fab up cheap stuff, but you will pay to do it right if you want a somewhat reliable car. In the end its worth it.

FWIW, it cost Scott (with the rear mounted turbo) more for the TwEECer, 44 lbs/hr injectors, and adjustable regulator than it did for the rest of the setup (and I sold him the 6k mile injectors for cheap).
