I got a 95 MTX 3.0. 185,000. Well, lets see. Around 3500 RPM in third or fourth gear the car shakes when you give her gas. She uses to shake in the pedals until I replaced the back rotors and calipers. She needs struts and a rear right motor mount that I just got in yesterday. You guys think that will take away my shakes.

As long as you're sure it isn't motor related, tires/wheels could be out of balance, ball joints possibly, wheel bearings. I don't think fixing either of the things you mentioned would help much in my opinion (shocks/struts, motor mount). Maybe the motor mount, not sure there.

When you say "shakes" are you referring to a rotational vibration or something more like a shudder in the drive line?

I used to experience a shudder whenever I'd get back on the throttle after coasting... is this like that?

This sort of distinction may help you isolate what systems are in play.

1. You need to rule out the rims and tires first.
2. I would check the cv shafts and wheel bearings next.

I agree that CV shafts are the likely candidate....
