So my buddy just picked up a '95 ATX. Has 130k on it and it ran decent for the most part on the way home. Then once he started dailying it (after all the paper work was done). Things started to happen. The ATX was rebuilt, 80ish k ago. But thats the least of his problems. It bangs VERY hard when going slow, but under throttle it seems to shift ok. I don't know if its the fluid or the fliter, or even if the tranny itself is going.. again.
Now onto the main problem. It won't start, like 1 out of 20 tries it'll start. Sometimes it'll run for 5 mins, sometimes it will run for 30 mins. It has died on him countless times while driving too.
So i replaced the CAM sensor. Thinking that was the problem. It seemed to work. Then a few hours later that night it was back to not starting/dying.
Now i'm thinking its either is Fuel pump relay (but i can hear it clicking and the pump itself prime, plus i've seen fuel come out of the valve.) Or its that D sensor (initals slipped my mind for a min, lol) Its the one atatched to the intake. His is the orginal medal one too.
I've ran codes, and the only one i've come up with is 335.
I really don't know what else to do. He likes this car alot and its a very nice car, **** he only payed $650 bucks for it. So please anyone help, it would be great.
Here's the car...
