Hey guys. This is my first post around here and I have been searching through the forum to find a problem with my 93 ATX. Yesterday everything was running fine and last night I got her home and popped the hood. The previous owner ( I just bought my car 3 days ago) did not really keep it that clean. So I had a can of engine bright and I covered up the electrical connections (battery, alt, etc.) and then let it soak. I then rinsed it down.
This morning when I went to start it, everything started fine however the car at idle stutters really bad like the whole thing is shaking. Then when I go and drive, it acts really funny. It almost has no power and it takes forever to get up to speed. Whats worse is when on an incline I actually start to loose speed, even when Im flooring it.
Any suggestions on what to clean. I checked my TPS and MAF both are good. I havent checked my IAC but i wouldnt think that would effect it.
Oh, also when I cold start everything is fine. If I drive it to walmart, go shopping then start her up, the idle surges and then dies. I have to start up and give some throttle to have her stay alive. Im thinking that might be the IAC. But I havent checked. Thanks a lot for your help in advance.
On a side note, I also own a 95 GT Mustang and I am a moderator on sn95forums so if anyone has a mustang come in and say hi
