Alright, heres the story, he bought a 95 MTX with 82k on the clock. There was some small matinence here and there but nothing major. Well being the nice guy that I am I did his upper 60k, plugs, seals, wires and some small other stuff, and I am gonna be doing the shims soon. Well before the upper 60k the car bogged under 4k, after the 60k it STILL boggs. Well we swapped MAF sensors to see if that would help at all, but it didnt.. someone (slowsho to be exact) suggested un-plugging the MAF to see if it would still bogg and as soon as he un-plugged it he had AMAZING power under 4k.. The odd thing is, he's using my MAF, my car never boggs, Im running his MAF and my car isnt bogging...So is there something wrong with his wiring?? Neither MAFs fixed the problem but neither of them are faulty, as I have used both on my own SHO w/o any problems....

Anyone care to share some info or suggestions???

TIA

Are you sure all your vac lines are in good shape? Specifically the ones to the secondaries. Are they staying closed on startup?

secondaires are def. not always open, just all boggy under 4k and them WHAM secondaries hit and its just all power.. This MTX is a freak of all SHOs, he is neck in neck with SRT-4s and is beating up on pullied GTPs

If you didn't change the fuel filter in the maintenance you did, try that. My 1990 did almost the same thing. Had to change it 3 times to get it to go away for good. Guess there was a little trash in the line somewhere. That would account for the good performance when the secondaries open, since that immediately increases fuel pressure enough to get by the obstruction.

Also check all your wires from the injectors and tape up any bare spots you find.

Don't know if these things are your problem, but they are simple to check and cheap to fix, so it's worth a try.

Go and actually LOOK at the secondaries and make certain they close when the engine starts. Rev it up and make sure they open at 3K.

Still sounds like they're stuck open. BTDT.

Fuel pressure should remain fairly constant while the engine is running. That's what the regulator is for. The pressure should remain constant without regard to the state of the secondaries.
