Sooo, i decided to replace my aging HID bulbs. Fleet.ford simply states turn the bulb 1/8 turn counter clockwise and remove.
The problem is that the jackasses should have made the access hole larger. I can get the bulb free, but not out due to the style of the HID bulb connector. I'm embarrassed to say I do this professionally, but at this point I'm just about at the frustration point to pull the bumper cover and headlight assembly.
Any tips on getting the bulb out or disconnecting the connector would be great.
My frustration comes from "if I can't get the old bulb out without damaging it, the connector, or turn mounting, how am I going to install the new one"?
Halogen would be a peice of cake, the HID, not so much.

I'm 99.99% sure you have to remove the bumper and pull the headlights out to replace that. Honestly itll take you 15 minutes at most to remove the bumper. Its like 6 screws on top a couple in the front of each wheel well, and like 10 across the bottom

Edit-
F it, I just pulled the bumper cover and and lamp so I could access the connector. Once the connector is off it's cake. The retainer was just really tight on the bulb and not particularly easy to access with the lamp installed.

Anyone replacing your HID's, try to get the connector off first thing. If it doesn't come right off, save yourself some time and aggravation and just drop the bumper cover and remove the lamp asm. Stupid easy and a time saver in the end.

Now I'm not looking forward to my new HID bulbs

You already know how easy the bumper cover comes off. I cheated and left the lower bumper retainers on and just removed the 4 on each wheel well and top and took the lamps out. It's one of those moments that after fighting with something trying to take the so called easy route, your thinking to yourself..."*******!" . Probably 35min total if you just take the cover loose and be done with it.

tie a chain around it, tie other end to a tree....rev it to the limit and drop it into reverse! Them HIDs don't stand a chance!
Idk, I think it might be about as fast to just cut the headlights out with an angle grinder. Not everyone has a tree that big yanno, then you just jb weld and hit em with a bit of silicone to put em back
