My local dealer has a used 2011 SHO and is asking $36k for it. It's pretty much loaded & has 16k miles. Is this a decent price? I tried Ebay to see what they were going for,but there weren't any there that are comparable.

Also, are there any things I should be on the lookout for on this car?

Thanks in advance.

What was the retail price when it was new... After a year (which should be around 16K miles), the car is supposed to be 25-30% cheaper. FWIW mine is a 2010 and I bought it at the end of Feb 2011 with 21K miles on it. Here in Canada, retail price is more expensive, they are at 48K$ plus navi... So mine was around 51K new and I paid 35.5K for it which is 30% lower for a one year old car. I believe a new SHO goes for 39K$ plus navi... (does yours have Performance package? ACC? etc.) But since you said fully loaded, let's say 42K$ would be its price new, so yours, with a bit less mileage and still in 2011, should sell at least at 20% discount, which would be around 34K. So, if you can deal it a bit under that, you should be happy with your almost brand new car.
Enjoy and keep up posted!
Steve

Doesn't sound bad to me, my was a demo with 5000miles and still got A plan and other incentives to buy. And paid $36,500.

Sounds a little high to me. You can get a brand new 2011 at or a little below invoice minus rebates now. A totally loaded one with a $46,800 sticker can be had for around 40k. There are a couple other rebates out there you may qualify for, too, that would take another grand or so off. If it had 5k miles, I might pay 35k or so, but with that mileage, I think 33ish would be tops. I've seen loaded 2010s with 16k miles advertised from 27 to 29k, and there's really no difference except the HD radio.

6 months ago I paid 31K for a 19,000 mile 2010 with an original MSRP of over 46K, everything minus perf pkg. At that time I saw others for around $32.5K, some with slightly less content, similar mileage.

Thanks for the feedback. I don't know a lot (yet) about these cars, but it does have the 20" wheels & the nav system. I know they sold it new last year,I'll ask for the full options list when I go in there this morning.

I intentionally went to look at the car last week after the dealer had closed so I could go over the exterior with a fine tooth comb. It's a black car and I couldn't find a scratch on it. No swirls either. I have a black C6 Z06 and know what it takes to keep the swirls out,so either the original owner was very meticulous or the dealer has a phenomenal detailer.

I paid 31,000 for my 2010 with 14,000 miles which is a twin to shaker281 minus the color about six weeks ago. I think there's some wiggle room there. Have you tried doing a search on autotrader.com and cars.com you can compare the pricing to other cars in your area.

I have a 2011 SHO with every option except for the performance package for $30k 3 weeks ago. My credit union would only finance invoice price. That sounds like a good start point.

If you have the vin you can find the window sticker here:

There are no amount of options that would make a used one with 16k miles worth 36k actual final price IMHO, though 36k as a starting point for negotiation isn't super bad. It's crazy what some of these dealers are asking for used SHOs. I've seen many 2010s with nearly 30000 miles with asking prices in the high 30s. I don't know what they're smokin when a totally loaded new one is 40k. LOL When we're ready to buy, we'll probably just drive to the dealers that have reasonable starting prices. I don't even want to try to negotiate with the ones with these crazy prices. If you watch ebay, that will give you a pretty good idea of actual value, and you'll see most used low mileage 2010s don't make it much past 27-28k bids. I don't recall seeing a 2011 actually sell on ebay recently, but most guys seem to pay around 35k for a very low mileage (under 5k) demo.

I have ordered a 2012 here from my dealer. It is selling for dealer invoice less incentives. The incentives are 2000 and 500, so I figure that my price will be about 5500 off msrp.

Spent $32k for a 13,000 mile 2010 car, with nav, PP.

My thought is that a sale price in the $33-$34k range is fair.

I agree with most of the above, sounds a little high. For research: CARMAX.COM so easy, they have a dozen SHOs at any one time usually. Check them out and see what they are charging, should give a great starting point for what to expect at least from a dealership.

Seems high to me. Try looking on Kelly Blue Book to see what you should pay from a dealer.

New here and about to become a regular I guess.
Dealer has an 11 demo with 6k miles on it loaded minus PP and I have them at 38,500. Add remote start for $100 has 20" wheels which will be replaced with some Tire rack winter package.
But I am curious cause I've done a lot of Autotrader looking and feel comfortable with this deal. But after reading this thread think I may do better by a grand or more than what I got. Not sure it's worth the trouble though.
Chase a deal here and there etc. I think I'm pretty comfortable with this deal. I may get 38K $ or something but have already bargained and this is what I got and I think I'm good with this deal at 40k including the remote start and 3.9 % ove 78 mos. Different deal of course but lets keep that payment as low as possible please. While I tick off every option available and then SAY WHAT? OH **** NO!
Looking for your input and if you know a dealer sitting on a white, red or black sho loaded let me know. There would be a finders fee of lets say $250 if you get me a better deal including all options and match my car and options!

Cheers!

I looked at a used 2011 and KBB didnt have a book. Credit Union said it was booked at 37,700 retail. Dealer told me 42! Told me they would never sell if for 37, that is when I said goodbye!

The one I bought was a 2010 and they were asking 32K.

Assuming my credit union was correct the 36K for a 2011 is around book, if they will deal down bit you can get a decent deal. If not there are plenty on Autotrader as mentioned.
