Ok my SHO has been out of commision for a few months. I finally got everything straight and decided to reinstall the cdplayer. I had taken the deck out of the SHO to use in my tbird while the sho was down.

I hooked everything up just like I rememberd it and the deck will come one and play...but there is no sound. I checked all the wires and can not figure out what is wrong.

I had this same prob when I first got the cd player. I have that $45 harness from circuit city. I took it there and they just crossed a few wires and the thing had sound. Which wires do I need to cross again? All the speaker wires are hooked up of course. I just cant remember that stupid little trick.

When I first installed my Alpine CD player I got no sound until I bypassed the amps, because evidently the Alpine was sending too powerful a signal or something. If you have the wire diagram for your CD player(check the manual) I would just check that each wire goes to it corresponding wire on the harness.

Are you still using the factory amp?
if so, you will probably want to connect the line/amp out outputs of your cd-player to the line in of the amp.
if not, you want to bypass the amp in the rear of the car, or there might be an extra harness behind your dash that goes directly to your speakers. I found mine connected to a plastic holder on the left side of the inner dash behind the radio.
Good Luck!
