hello friends,
i am recently helping my friend doing a 120 K on his 93 ATX.. i am already half way on removing the stuff for the front 120 k.. i am kinda having a hard time removing the crankshaft pulley.. its been stuck in from the rust and all that.. i also have another qstn about the timing belt. we bought a timing belt.. ( made by duralast.. it only has the line marks of alignment for the crankshaft sprocket but it dont have them marked which line is for the 3.0 and the 3.2.. so i need a little help on that also ( which line is supose to be aligned to the lower sprocket).. if someone could help identify the mark which one is it for the alignment.. also wanted to know how to put the alterantor belt back on that car.. we taken it off by removing the water pump pulley cause we couldnt see any adjustement on pulleys or anything.... thank you everyone for the replies..

if you havent taken off your old timing belt, you can mark off exactly where the marks are with crayon on the cover and the gear.

on the atx sho there is an accesory belt tensioner i think its right beside the waterpump pully. put a wrench on it and see which way it turns to let slack onto the belt.

you need a pully puller for the crank shaft pulley. maybe soak it in wd40 for a bit before trying again if its rusted on there.

With the cam sprockets and crank sprockets indexed properly, the lines on the belt will only line up one way, so as long as the two cam sprocket lines are lined up, whichever crank sprocket line you can get to line up with the dimple is the correct one (without having to really pull or stretch the belt).
