A week ago, my car was running fine...but than i noticed something was wrong. When I started up the engine, it seemed to struggle a bit. Sorta like a choke, but it started afterwards. I was like...ok, what the f***. I turned the car off and started it up again. This time it would fully startup. I than charged up the battery and it started. A couple of days later, it does the same thing again. I got a jump start and it was fine. Now, my guess was that the battery or alternator was bad. So, i get the alternator and battery tested and they were fine. As i reinstall the alternator and battery, and start up the car...it actually starts. So, i turn off the engine. Than i start it up again and it wouldn't startup. I turn the ignition key and the RPM barely rises. So, i buy a new battery. And still nothing. My car is just sitting dead in my garage. Please, anyone...tell me what can be wrong. What can cause the car not to startup?

Or battery cables or bad connections of either of them at either end.

Does it crank? Normal crank speed, or a slow crank speed?

A slow crank speed indicates either the starter motor is bad or it is not getting sufficient current flow, therefore the cables are a possibility.

Pull the starter and take it to Autozone for testing.

Im guessing starter. Mine did the same thing. When it would get hot, it wouldnt start. I replaced the soloniod and it worked fine for a few days, that started acting up again, finally i talked to someone who had a little experience, and he said it was the starter, because the magnets were broken inside the housing. A good way to test it is to start the car, and let it get warm, and then turn it off and try again, if it doesn't start (thats why i would assume its a starter) then get under the car and hit the starter with something hard as someone else turns the ignition, if it turns over and fires up, thats your problem. It's worth a try. :)
