Hey guys, it's been a few weeks. My dad passed away suddenly a little over 2 weeks ago, so I've been dealing with that. I've been keeping myself busy on my SHO to deal with it. He had a fender bender a week in my SHO before he passed away. I fixed all that with new headlight/cornerlight in right side and header panel. Haha, I kept the busted up headlight for a momento... I got the bumper on, and decided to rattle can the scuffs on the bumper oxford white. It looks good, I did it in small layers. I just need to smooth it out and buff it. How would I go about doing that? Thanks for your help, guys, I really appreciate it. :)

you need some polishing compound. i like turtle wax's compund. its white and you have to use it wet. basically just get the rag damp, get some compound on the rag and rub the painted portion and a little bit into the surrounding area. if you go through, repaint and repeat. this takes a long time and patience, but if you take your time it looks perfect.

edit: heres a link to the polish. http://www.autobarn.net/cht-241.html make sure you get white polishing compund and NOT red rubbing compund. red compound would be like 100 grit sandpaper on your bumper. yikes! :oogle:
