At first it seemed like it was the battery. Heres what happened. I was changing my friends radiator, when i decided in order to have enough room for the new one, the wires to the alternator needed to be moved. So i unhooked it, well after the radiator was in and i was hooking the alternator back up, the negative battery cable slipped over and touched the negative terminal and ****. A nice amount of smoke came from around the starter solenoid. At first it started fine but progressively got worse, it also was idleing weird, and now its sits in front of my house. When you try and start it, it just makes a clicking. Im gonna try to replace the start solenoid, but does anyone else know what it could be?

Weird, I'm having a starter problem too. It might be that, but I'm not sure. I've heard you can give the thing (the starter) a little whack and it might work for a while. If it does, that could be it.

Well we changed the solenoid, but now it has no power at all. After checking the battery, it was obvious the battery was way old and completly dead. So we're gonna put a new battery in thursday.
