Hello, it looks like the AC compressor I purchased is wrong for my car. I have a 93 manual Sho and the ac manifold bolts to the side of the compressor. From the reading I’ve done this looks to be a 10p15f compressor. Does this sound right? I know the picture isn’t very good, but it’s an odd angle. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

You are correct. The 10P15F AC compressor is for Gen 1 SHOs according to my 1990 shop manual. The application was unique for the SHO. Good luck finding one. Most places seem to show the non-SHO compressor (incorrectly) for the application and call it the "FS10 style".

Even the compressor used for the 3.8L (10P15 without the F) seems to be in short supply. Rock Auto has a 10P15C from Four Seasons for the 3.8L. I don't know what the differences are between the "C", "F" and 10P15 with no suffix, so I'm not making any recommendations on using it as a substitute.

Good luck.

Right, even the sho source doesn't have any of the nos or reman units in stock. I'm going to call around locally and see if any of the places that rebuild AC compressors can take parts from different units and/or source a rebuild kit for this. Thanks for your input.

Sourced what appears to be the last reman'd compressor from a place in Florida. Car is back together and has held 27" of vacuum overnight. Will hopefully have fully functioning AC in this by the ford cruise this week!
