Oh I was thinking all 2013+ had the drain plug but its all 2013+ pp cars. Whoops! Also, there is a 2018 pp with 8k miles that is 7 hours away from me. They will supposedly only come down to 30,100 from 31k, and only give me 12k for my ST. Everything I can find shows that as a not so great deal. What do you guys think? I turned it down for now

An 18 PP with 8k for 30,100 isn't a good deal? The car probably MSRP'd for 48k. They are willing to give you 12k for an ST, so you will be out the door for 22k? That isn't a good deal? What am I missing here?

The only way that isnt a good deal is if you owe more then they are offering you on the ST and even then, an 18 pp for $30,100 is a smoking deal.

Pp pistons are better?

Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk

Yes there an numerous posts about this. They are designed to be able to sit for long periods of time idling, and then go straight to full throttle (police car life). The PP cars are just better...period.

@SM105K I'm going off kbb which puts a dealer asking price for that car at 27-29k, car gurus listings and what some have said they paid for theirs on forums. I don't owe anything on my st, just feel like its a raw deal to drive 14 hours round trip for.

Okay, $30,100 - $12,000 = $18,100 + $2,000 (tax, title, license) is $20,100 for an 18 pp with 8k miles. It will probably still have a factory warranty.....

Clearly our definition of a good deal is miles apart. I paid $20,990 out the door for my 13 PP a year ago with 52k miles. I also flew from AZ to CA to see and purchase it.

If the car is what it should be, I think you maybe doing yourself an injustice by not going to at least look at it.

By the way, I have a Focus ST and the SHO is leaps and bounds better in every way except fuel mileage.

Yeah thinking back on it I've never paid more than 7k less than asking price for new vehicles and on used cars have gotten at least 2k off asking price. My 2017 Silverado I got for almost 20k under msrp so maybe I just need to stop comparing this deal to those.

Like I said, I think you are doing yourself an injustice by not at least going to check it out. Worst case, you lose a day of your time and get to drive a PP car.

Well you got me thinking about it now, maybe I shouldn't be so bull headed? I think I'll work on getting my ST back to stock and if they still have it I'll take that as a sign. Don't really have any days available until June though so could sell before then.

No not one bit. I only have the Ford Racing Calibration on my ST because it is my daily and I drive roughly 350 miles a week. I think the only thing it might possibly get in the future is the E-Focus rear motor mount, a downpipe, and raceland coilovers.

I have the SHO if I want to go "faster".

The rear motormount was one of my first mods, along with an oil catch can. Definitely keeps everything in place better, the stock one is close to useless lol.

Yeah, I need to buy a catch can as well. I know UPR makes one for the ST. I have a UPR on my SHO and I love it. I am thinking about taking the intake off and walnut blasting the valves then adding the can.

I get pretty bad wheel hop and alot of research tell me the rear stock motor mount is garbage. So I will be replacing it probably next weekend.

I have a dilemma! I've been looking for a SHO for a couple months now and really want a pp SHO. I can't find any low mile pp's that aren't black or aren't an outrageous price. There is a 2019 non-pp with 4k miles locally that is down to 29.9k. I'm not planning on doing any autocross and really only jump on it here and there. I would like to do some 1/4 runs but probably will only end up doing that once or twice. Do I wait for a pp or do I jump on the good deal on the non-pp? Do I really need a pp?
GET IT! That's a great price.

Drive it and see. That is still a good price if they give you 12 for the ST.

This one is a 6 hour drive away and they will also give me 12k for the ST. I drove the local non-pp and liked it but the doors and trunk lid are all misaligned (they all stick out almost 1/4" when closed) and there were a couple stains in the suede seats. I'll have to return the ST to stock though so probably wouldn't be able to go get it until next week...
