Hi all,

I’ve been sifting though the old posts, but haven’t found a good answer to a question I have. So here I go.

I am in need of shocks and springs for my 91 SHO. I am thinking about either the Eibach or Intrax springs with either KYB GR2s or a set of adjustable Tokio struts.

My question is which springs have a higher rate? Also with the drop of 1.5 inches in the front and 1 inch in the rear, am I going to have to worry about anything deciding to interfere? Or will I have a pain getting a decent camber adjustment?

I am not concerned with harshness of the ride; I just want to be able to throw the car into a corner already, without it rolling over like a mother (plus it is my new back up autocrosser). Which set up do you guys recommend?

Thanks,
Adam

The intrax springs are softer on the soft side and firmer on the firm side than the eibachs. Also the tokicos that are avalible for the SHO are nonadjustable. If you want adjustability you need to buy konis. As for the camber, you can either buy the adjustable camber kits that are sold, or drill out the spot welds on the tops of the towers which will give you adjustablity.

Nothing will interfere with the Eibachs. With the Eibach/Koni setup, the front can be aligned with out breaking any welds. As far as the rear goes, you will need some sort of alignment kit or something like what I am going to try.

An alignment guy at Ford said that you can take one of the arms (that can be set for toe, I think) flip it over and install it on the other side for your camber adjustment. I am going to try this and let you know.

As far as tokico's go. Don't know, I have the eibach/koni. :D
