Hi,

Here's the story. I'm moving to Phoenix in a few hours (it's app. 1500 miles away) so I had my car in the shop to get the rotors trued up. It's all good untill I get home. I go to close the power moon roof when I hear a click like something broke and then noticed that the moon roof had no power. The button is now loose and has a gap where it shold be hitting the motor relay. If someone could tell me how to get the plastic piece off I'd appreciate it! I need to get the moonroof closed before I leave!

Thanks

Mike

Unplug the switch from teh connector. Touch the Red with yellow striped wire to the solid red wire. This will put 12v through that wire. Touch the yellow with red striped wire to the black wire at the same time (ground). Your roof should close now. If it opens, reverse the wires.

The moonroof will not close. Is there a way to manually close it.

Tks

Mike
If your button is broke and you have the cover off, pull the switch out of the plastic holder its in (use a flat screw driver or the like), unclip and pull off the plastic button and take a pair of plyers to turn the little black knobs on the side of the switch. You only have to turn one side for it to work. The button turns those knobs to open/close it. Thats how I closed it when my button broke.

Hope that helps.. :p

You can close the window mechanically if the electrical switch breaks.

Drop the motor (three screws). With an old window crank on the splined shaft, you can open and close the window. A pair of Vicegrips will also work (of course, if you bugger up the splines.....).
