Need an axle!!!

Well, my car is screwing me over again. Mechanic said that the axle going from the trans to the passengers side halfshaft has a melted boot, and needs to be replaced. Problem is, nobody sells these things, and I need one ASAP. Anybody know where to find them? TIA

Are you talking about the intermediate shaft? IIRC, there is no boot to replace. If you just need the half shaft, you can give Raxles a call or I believe many parts stores carry remans.

It seems as though he was referring to the innermost CV boot, trying to persuade me to replace it ASAP because it might blow up. I figured I won't replace it since I'm selling the car soon anyways.
