Alright guys, here's the deal. I got an engine knock for a few seconds at cold start ups and between the 1500-2000 rpm range. Thinking it's a spun bearing, I'm trying to drop the oil pan to further investigate. Got the Y pipe and starter out of the way along with all the oil pan bolts. But thats where my problem begins. I can't get the oil pan down. I think it's because of the silicone sealant. Please help!!

Yes, it is because of the sealant.

Different people have different methods of removing the pan.
I just used a rubber mallot, tapped on both sides, then wiggled the pan with all my might :D and it came out pretty easy.
Others use a flat screwdriver and the "pry points" on the pan to pry the pan loose. I have never liked that method because it can and will scratch a bit of the mated surfaces.

Either way, good luck. It can be a major PITA getting the pan out. The front motor mount and the passenger axle play a big part ini obstructing the removal of the pan squint

TIP: slip it past the axle, then the motor mount, then off the oil pickup screen. Assemble in opposite order thumb

Before you start prying on the oil pan, you must verify that all of the bolts and nuts are removed from the pan. There are a couple near the clutch bellhousing that are very tough to see. Double check! There is also an interference between the pan and the axle shaft and bearing. You will have to try various angles to get the pan free and to reinstall it.
