need advice, currently cleaning IAB

I got instructions from shotimes.com
Some questions
1. Is Berryman's ok to clean with (IAB and the gasket)
2. Is it truly necessary to use die electric on the ISC (I do not have any)
and just a note... upon removal, there are 2 ports that connect it to the throttle body. The port closest to the front of car is BLACK, the other one is pretty clean. Is this normal? Also the spring loaded piston in the IAB is clean too, (not black).

Yes, it is normal. Use the Berrymans in the ports. Try not to spray it on the shaft's *********** to the electrical servo.

Scott, I believe I did exactly what you told me NOT to do doh! I sprayed it on the opposite end of the ISC (of the electrical contacts)
I noticed 2 things about the ports that run into the throttle body from the IAB. 1. The surfaces of them are NOT smooth... almost as if they have been pitted by a screwdriver. Are they supposed to look like that?
2. The one closest to the front of the car... looking inside of it, it seems to split into 2 directions about an inch from the entrance. The other one seems to be ONE "tunnel". Is this normal?
Also I used Q tips to try to clean the internal parts with, is that a no no?

I have been having an idle problem and this seems to have remedied the situation. Tomorrow the fuel filter gets a replacement.
