i'm trying to find proper location for a vaccum line i've had disconnected.

if you open your hood, at the very back of the engine bay on the pass. side, (by the firewall) tucked behind the strut tower is a little nook. out from there should be a thin black vaccum hose about a foot or two long.

where should it plug into?

posted in regular forum and had no luck..

need a hand here!

There should be a vacuum diagram sticker under the hood.

There is a vacuum tank in the fender. This should just connect to a source of vacuum under the hood.

there is indeed a diagram to follow.. but its not really clear. it has the names of the units and which is connected to which, but not a specific area its located if you have to find it off the cuff.

is it really that tough for someone to pop their hood and follow a hose for me?

i'll do some more searching this afternoon i guess.

Hi,
I checked under my hood. In the area you describe are 4 hoses. 2 appear to be fuel lines, 1 windshield wash hose(small), 1 larger vacuum hose. The large vacuum hose goes to the mid-back of the upper intake manifold to a "L" (elbow) fitting. The windshield wash hose routes along the side of the strut tower, to the w/w res and down the side of it.

Hope that helps you.

Take care,

JimB

There is a small vacuum line that feeds the vacuum tank in the passenger side fender. This connects to a tee behind/below the BARO sensor mounted on the firewall.

If it is disconnected from the tank just plug the line until you can get the fender liner out and get to the tank.

removed that plastic trim that covers the top of the firewall and couldent find anything thats bare.

where on the firewall is the baro sensor? there is an "F" i found that has everything connected but no "T"

[edit]

found the "T" below a sensor, but one end was already plugged. i dont remember plugging it myself though, maybe the line wasent connected in the first place and the previous owner just bypassed it by plugging that line? hrmm.

i popped it on in the meantime and will be testing the vacuum system for leaks later on to be sure thats its proper fit.

thnx for the help guys.
