Don't worry, it's not for me. My roommate and good friend is determined to have a super sleeper SHO after seeing what a little boost did to mine. He is going to fund the entire thing and I'm going to help him build it.

What we need is an extremely cheap SHO, running or not. A drivable car would be a plus but if we can get a shot-motor car for super cheap we will. MTX only and no MAJOR body damage. Interior wont matter as it will be gutted. We are going to "refresh" a 3.2 likely before we even have the car so we can plop it in and pass emissions. The goal is a completely stripped car that looks like crap and runs like **** with 8-10psi of budget boost.

Sooo, I am asking for everyone to keep their eyes peeled for a run-down cheap car. I've done everything I can with autotrader/cars.com/craigslist but have yet to come up with anything...

A forum donation will be in order if I can find something:thumb:.

Thanks guys!

I can't think of anything better to say than "talk to Tom", but you already know that.

And tell this guy he needs to bring it to the track when it's done. You should do that with yours, too!

Yeah, too late. Paul just bought the white 90 and figured out the PS problem to just be a high pressure hose. That would have been the best car for boost, as everyone knows, white Gen 1's are the fastest NA cars around.

Is the chassis on the red car salvageable? That might be an option if they don't mind a little more labor.

^Not really looking to do any type of body work or clutch pedal or clutch pedal retrofitting :).

Tom, that white Gen 1 would have been absolutely perfect but hopefully it has a good home now. That's just the type of car we are looking for.

Nick, so the 3 that are on Craig'sList right now are no go? That 95 looks to be a good deal.

I've had a problem with bounced emails to Craigslist lately. Either there is something wacky with their anonomizer or the posters can't put their correct email in or I just suck at the internet. Either way, unless there is a phone number I've had no Craigslist luck lately.

hey im Paul, i bought the white 90 from tom... those 2 your trying to contact on craigs, they both are already sold, it was hard to get ahold of both of them but when i did they both told me they were already sold, the only one on craigs that is actually still available is the green gen 2, but its auto..... The white 90 i got from tom was a great project car. The power steering is fixed, and i converted the whole interior from tan to black. i will post some pics when i get a chance. Just started a new job and havent had much time, the last thing i have to do is paint the slicers white...... I posted a want ad on craigs before i bought the 90. And i just had someone contact me today. He has a gen2 green mtx. Tranny is gone and it needs to be repainted. I asked him how much he wanted and he said he is going to get back to me. When he does i will let you know.

What all is involved in converting to a different color interior? How do you change the dash? How about the headliner? The other day my wife said the SHO would look great with a black interior. I immediately take this to mean "go spend 600 bucks on interior parts and have it done this weekend." Unfortunately, there are not so many Gen2 black interiors laying around. Also, I don't have a spare 600 dollar bill. Also, It would take me more than a weekend.

I have a top-secret proprietary method to do this that involves changing no parts. Bring a five gallon bucket of black ink, give me about an hour, and you'll have a black interior.

Happy to be here to solve these problems for you guys.
