Sounds good , but I cant... Im doing alot of work on the 91 this weekend.
finnally got access to a garage. :lock:

That things been towed around more than Ive drove it so far... :snicker:

But we should get some people together one of these weekends. Ive got a nice spot down here where theres tons of cars there on the weekend, and we BBQ and **** like that. Its like show and tell for the whole state. Everyone goes there, and just lines there cars up. Its definitly a good time. Lots of chicks running around in bakini's too. :naughty:

Just gotta figure out how to ditch the wife. :bonk: Ouch.

Looks like it'll be rain late, after the track closes. Supposed to be a little chilly tomorrow night, although not as cold as the 86 to 39 degree drop of yesterday!!!

btw, is anyone going to just go up to spectate? If so could I stow my street wheels in your trunk? Slicers weren't so inviting to steal, tbird SVT's are a little more inviting...

I may be there tomorrow night. One of the guys from the Caddy forums was there Wednesday in his Platinum V and will be there tomorrow night. He keeps taunting me to go. I may have to spectate because I have precious little tread left on the F1s.

What time do the gates open? I've got a job heading down to Manhattan at noon and probably won't be home until 7PM. So I wouldn't get to NED until 8 at the earliest. So I don't know....

Steve, nice to see you, order up all the parts so we can 60k your car and make it faster. Did you weigh it at all? I also ran into a kid from Wilmington that I saw in 2002 when he owned a 93 ATX. He now owns a nice 94 MTX in viper blue. James, saw your V buddy, didn't talk to him though. He had Maine temp vanity tags, LOL. Oh yeah, and my car ran like @$$ and I'm going to blow it up, even if it did weigh in at 3800lbs...

How'd everyone do? Any pics?

Tremblay, what's up with your car? Is this the first run since your exhaust change? I see you're tinkering around with the tweecer too. I'd like to get a closer look at the way you've config'd your car before you blow it up

Mels, yeah, first runs since the exhaust change. I ran the stock X2J first run, and then played with the secondaries and fans on the second, felt the rev limiter kick in a little earlier so tried to raise it but round it dropped it to 6K netting me a whopping 15.1. I think I may have a vacuum leak somewhere because I was only pulling 10 in/HG at idle where I usually pull 15... I obviously wasn't happy as with the old barely modded 3.0 I was trapping 95/96... exactly what I trapped last night. The car did weigh 3800lbs though... And Jim, yeah the traffic sucked, you didn't miss much the place was absolutely packed.

Hey Steve that's not as far-fetched as you might think! Some years ago Hot Rod magazine ran a project they called the Datsun 240Z28. It was the featured car of their annual that year. You may still be able to get a copy from them. IIRC it was around the 1983-5 timeframe. Pretty detailed build information.

A customer / friend of mine has a pretty sick 260z with a 302ish maybe 351 Ford dropped into it. Tremec 5 or 6 speed with I believe a narrowed Ford rear. The sidepipes are absolutely sick sounding both in and outside of the car.

Wish now I'd kept my '73 240z and done the same!
