Was driving east on Cornhusker Rd passing the fire station at 7:20am this morning when I saw a red 2010(?) SHO with Iowa plates. I cruised right next to you and gave you a nod. Looked like you were staring down the SHO as well. Cant remember which one on here got a 2010 with Iowa tags but the car looked good!

Figured it was someone on here but I wasnt sure. Then I remembered one of the Nebraska guys mentioning that they lived over in that area so I kinda put 2 and 2 together.

I'm surprised I haven't seen N8rfastback that much since I work on base. I had a black one that works on base pull into the gas station next to me. I wanted to go see if he'd run me, but I was trying to get the car in the garage before it rained.

I drive my beater of a '92 Taurus 95% of the time, so I'll look like a sucker too.

My nice cars sit in a dehumidified garage. :)

I put my 89 back in the garage this morning. I had the stall messed up setting up some more storage racks.

The humidity sucks. I was fishing for a week with no humidity. Now I come home to this crap.

No its humid around here pretty much year round...

all summer sucks with the heat and stickyness, then in the winter the cold combined with the wind and humidity, makes the cold weather just cut right through you... then they salt the crap out of the roads...

nothing good around here for automobiles whatsoever.

I was walking out of Starbucks, you walked in and we shared a glance. I followed you home and have been stalking you for weeks now. I spray painted my phone number on your garage door, WHY HAVEN'T YOU CALLED!

Sincerely,

aren't the plains states fairly arid to begin with?

As bad as it's been feeling in the last week, I've been keeping up with TWC and it's been between 70-100% humidity. After seeing my brake rotors rusting in the garage when I first got here, I bought a dehumidifier and it's been aroun 20-30% in the garage. It's bareable to work in if I keep the door close, even though it's 90 something in there... I'm not sweating uncontrollably.

the area he lives in has rivers on two sides, and compared to CO and AZ it's humid.

My ballsach hates it... I'm really looking forward to where we will go next year. Sadly, the wife's family lives in the middle of NE, so I can't say we'll never be back (although we'll never live here again).

You want to talk about humidity and salted roads? With a Detroiter?

Southeastern Michigan is home to one of the (if not "the" ) largest salt reserves in the US. And...were surrounded by 84% of all the fresh water in the US.

Now that that's out of the way...

I had no idea how similar Detroit was to Omaha in terms of average weather. I'll bet they don't salt the roads as much as you think, though.

They actually salt more far than needed here. I'm amazed at the amount of salt they put on the roads.

As far as comparisons... Don't care, it's miserable here and I'm gearing up for the move next year.

Saw a red Gen4 at 6pm heading North on HWY 75 just West of base. Looked like it had exhuast tips on it. The car was going the opposite way from me.
