I'm not so sure about that. For the price of that 911 you can purchase two streetable Lotus Elises or Exgies that would out-brake, out-corner and out-time the 911 on a track. And just about everything else in any price range.

I don't want to open up THAT can of worms, but let's say that I would rather have one 911 than two Loti. I like to drive across country and carry stuff, also.

Oh you want to CARRY stuff to well you didn't say that. Forget it then. I really was commenting on the "the only car with adequate brakes right off the street are 911s". And this one too, "Mfrs just don't set up for track use unless you are buying the high $$$ car like a 911 GT2 or GT3, or a BMW Lightweight". My Lotus was around $50k. Far from high dollar like those other cars and yet, built to be a track car that you can also drive on the street.

Well, the Lotus is nice, but something like the Caterham is also in the same ballpark, from my point of view.

I guess when I hit the Lotto (guess I have to buy tickets first!) and have the 20-car garage filled with cars that fit all of the unique functions I would like to have filled, it would be different, but I need Swiss Army type vehicles now.
