I have just replaced pads and rotors on my first gen but I have a problem. The problem is that I only have braking force on the right front and left rear. When I brake in the dirt I can see those wheels lock up. Since those wheels are on the same braking circuit it leads me to believe it is a problem with the master cylinder.
Before I worked on the car it was sitting for a year due to "funny feeling" brakes. This isn't an sho but an 87 taurus GL so it doesn't have antilock.
The thing is I have replaced the master cylinder twice and the proportioning valve under the left rear. I have repeatedly bled the brakes and nothing. The pedal goes to the floor on the initial push but I can build up pressure after twenty or so pumps. After this I can open up the bleader screws and get essentially no fluid out of the LF/RR. Infact, the pedal doesnt even move. I still believe it is a master cylinder problem unless you guys have some insight.
Thanks
