I was looking up info to get some touch up paint for my white 95 MTX. As I began reading the threads, I became a little alarmed. I see here that there is a little confusion as to which code is correct: WT or WB. The paint code on my sticker is FC4! Hmmmm.... That's odd. So I looked up that code here and found a few threads for people having non-white SHOs. Rrrrrreally? I went to paintscratch.com and according to them and my Ford sticker, my SHO should be Sunrise Red Pearl Metallic!!! Well I'll be a Mother Trucker! So know I have to wonder if the history of my SHO involves a wreck. Non showed up on the Carfax, but that's not always accurate.

No real question, just had to share my surprise. OK, wait. Maybe I do have a question. If my car was re-painted, is there a good tell tail place I could look? I've already pulled up the carpet in the trunk and a little in the cabin only to find white.

Thanks,
Chris

FC4 isn't a paint code, it is a body type. All Taurii have FC4 on the VIN label.

There are 3 different white colors for 94/95 I had this trouble even with the correct paint code. You need to look at the color chips in the book. One will be noticeably whiter, one will be more yellow, etc. Any reputable paint place should have a gun to paint match what you have (UV type of gun to judge color)
