My take on the new Taurus

I live in an area of KC that is considered to be pretty well off. For reference, the county that I live in has a median income of 68,200 and 79,400 per family. I'd say on a daily basis, 70% of the cars I see are 2004 M.Y. and newer with a large portion being BMW, Mercedes, Audi, Acura... ****, Today alone, I saw 2 black Audi R8's and a handful of AMGs. My point being is that people around here tend to drive very fancy, expensive and quality vehicles. Lately, however, I have been noticing between 6 and 10 new Tauri driving around town daily. I usually see 1 MAYBE 2 SHOs a week. In the past 2 days, I have seen 7 new SHOs of all colors and packages. ****, today on I-35, 2 black SHOs passed me within 10 seconds of each other.

In my opinion, Ford has done a GREAT job in designing this car. Its rare for me to see an abundance of domestic vehicles around here and the fact that I am seeing more and more Tauri every day makes me feel great about Ford and the way they are handling their vehicle line up.

I don't really know why I made this post other than to congratulate Ford for their outstanding efforts as of late. For a while, I thought they were done for sure.

Anyway, sorry for the waste of space. Just thought I'd share my findings.

I like seeing new tauri, I learned alot more about them last week.

I love the job Ford is doing but there is nothing I hate more than seeing someone with the same exact car as me.

I still have yet to see a new SHO in person. I have to take my Exporer to the dealer next week for an outstanding recall and I'm hoping maybe I'll see one there.

I like them. Nice ride, quite, plenty of power to put a smile on your face It's one of those cars that you don't have to floor every where to give the car purpose or be boring to drive.

I'm still reserved on the quality though. Like any new car it's really nice today when it's new but how well it holds up over time is going to be the true test. I really do hope it holds up well. If it could hold a decent resale value that would be nice too

That's funny....I just did a 1300 mile round trip through the baltimore/washington/richmond/charlotte mostly day time driving and only saw 1 taurus sel. I would have loved to have been driving my SHO but since it was a biz trip....the customers paid for my pos avalon rental....

Had my SHO for two months now, only have seen three others since then. In our area more SEL or Limited according to my Ford dealer. IMO, this car is a 9 out of 10. The seats could use more side bolsters to make you feel more planted. The engine is very impressive, both on power and economy, did not buy it to be a MPG champ but when you drive it easy the mileage is very impressive for such a heavy car. I get comments from people everyday about the looks and they ask, what is it. When I compare this car to my last ride, Pontiac G8 GT, it does feel larger and taller but seems to handle well anyway. Its going to be nice in the winter here in Michigan not to be the last one to leave the stop light because of getting stuck too!!!

There is a bunch of regular tauri floating around in RI. I see more and more every day it seems. The other day I had a 2010 pass my house the guy saw my car and stopped. We ended up talking for a good 10-15 minutes about SHO's and Ford. Its pretty cool to see the new SHO on the road and even better when the driver knows what your driving.

I live in NYC and haven't seen not a single new SHO and only a handfull of taurus's

I work in Morristown, NJ and right around the corner is another SHO! Mine is cinnamon, his is silver. Both have 20's. How about that? Someone else with taste in automobiles.

I still have yet to see someone driving a SHO.. I have seen a crap load of SEL and Limiteds though. (In Manhattan area, KS)

The new SHO moniker should have been on a Fusion. The Fusion is more like the original size of the SHO, not a heavy pig, and could have a mtx version fairly cheap for ford. I'm not the only one in fordbastards that saw the pvt showing of the car at the 2009 Dallas AutoShow that said the exact same thing. Also I am yet to see a new SHO on any of the freeways in the DFW mertoplex, and I do look for them because I want to know how cracker92 would stand up to one.
