I was at work and one of my cables to my starter came off and i didnt have any thing to get it back together, so i decided since it was a downhill i should push start my car, i do that, it gets going, and starts reving uncontrolably, i spun around the rpm gauge and it stopped and is now stuck under the 0. So i stopped the car, popped the hood and the cable to my throttle was stuck, so i unstuck that, and for the mean time just hooked my starter cables to where they go and went home. Did i royaly Eff up my car, or something...

R u talking about the speedo or tach? A buddy of mine whos a member on the forum has a 91+ with no rev limiter and he got his gas pedal caught under the floor mat and it did the same thing with the tach...... all he did was take the clear plastic off and put the needle back on i believe.

If your talking about the tach just run the car up high to the red line it should pick it up.

yeah once you get the car running right again, take it above 5 k rpms, and it should pop back to where it should be. its magneticly driven or something.

This is the fix that is most fun to do. Take it to redline in first...it will fix itself. Wish all of our fixes were like this.

Blown Diff Pin: redline it in first
broken BDA? Redline it in second.
Bad Fuel pump? Redline it in third.
Loose hood latch? Redline it in 4th (hood will fly off, problem fixed).
