so i was thinking about my exhaust, its stainless and doesnt stainless shine? well it looked like **** and i thought i would give it a try and it actually worked very well.

not everything is coming off but its a work in process, its extremely hard work and very tough on the arms

That did turn out well. My original exhaust is still kickin...with no rust or holes. But, I don't think it would polish out like that.

....i wouldn't lift my SHO by that center support.

I've lifted mine by that the entire time I've owned the car. There's nothing wrong with with doing it like that. Except for not using jackstands, of course.

^^ summer vacation from college and yes i do.....
now does anyone know if the stainless is a coating like chrome or if its straight through. if its straight through i could prob polish the **** out of it but if not i'm done cuz i dont want to go through and make it rust

those pipes are made of stainless steel. It is not a coating and yes you could polish it - but I'd say it's a waste of time. But then again you have ocd . It'll only look good for maybe a year and then you'll have to do it all over again - just not worth it to me....

That's another reason to add a H brace, turns out making a great place to jack the rear end at.

what stainless is it though ?

most exhaust systems use 409 stainless, which is the stainless that builds up a thin layer of rust as it ages, but wont rust out totaly.
