It was freaking FREEZING and wet. But the driving was a BLAST. It was so much fun. This was in my DD 91 with only ASFB and koni/eibachs. Everyone there said this was the worst conditions they ever dealt with. (weather wise and timing problems) Of course it my first one:nut:

My first time, so I missed some gates b/c of just not knowing the course and was DFQ. But i got the hang of it a couple runs and after that put 2 good times down IMO for a newb :) DFQ'd again; under steere'd passed a gate, lol. Maybe a little to aggressive. Once I messed up couple times I learned that slower is sometimes faster. Overall it was fun, course was easy to learn but technical too. Can't wait for the next 3 event in this winter sereis

Luckily since my work shift was insane, they decided to do all 7 of ours runs in a row. Then the others got the last 3 in. Which was great b/c it allowed me to actually learn the course.

Here the times for everyone.

What class were you in? I can't read the times, I'm at work.

However, If your on ALSFB's, Your automatically in CP (my class) if your running with a club that runs SCCA's rulebook.

My suggestion, Is WALK the course as many times as Humanly possible. Be as smooth as possible with your Brake and Throttle inputs (This is ecspecially important because you don't have a Quaife in that car) and mainly, Just have fun.

I was in ESP and N was for novice. But they just grouped together all the 1st timers. Its just a winter series and is really just for fun. They are using scca rules though. Its not even scca sanctioned so it half the price too. I cant wait for the regular season.

I need a quafie for this car now......

Because your car has Alluminum subframe bushings, It automatically should be in CP.

If I were running against you, I'd call you out on that in a heartbeat. :)

SCCA Street Mod Rule 16.1.H.:

"Subframe bushings may be replaced with bushings of any material
as long as they fit the original location. Offset bushings may
not be used."

No reason to go straight to CP, the SM allowances are much more forgiving and open, and you'll generally have a wider range of local competition as many enthusiast cars fall into this category. As long as you still have your interior installed you can run there (minus the back seat.)

Is that revision to to SM Rules? I was under the impression that this was not allowed in SM.

Regardless, It does not matter to me, As my car is completely gutted.

Listen to Chris, He knows his shit. I'm still a n00b.

Sorry for the misinformation.
