Ok guys this is a new one for me. I had a blow out on my rear driver side tire. When I went to start it, it turned but quickly turned off did it twice and it didn't start, it was as if I was out of gas but have a half of tank of gas. So I let it sit for a while when I went back to start it, it wouldn't turn it was as if my battery was dead or going dead but everything was lit bright. I tried to pop the clucth and it still wouldn't start. I looked under my car and there was no leak of any sort....so I don't know what this could be, I'm guessing my fuel pump I don't know. Someone please help! cry

Driver's rear tire? Check the fuel pump inertia switch in the trunk, left side, behind the trim. A good sharp "SMACK" in the body right there could have tripped it. If so, push the button on top back down and try again.

Do you have a ph # where I can call you and discuss this better, if not I'll give you mine? Let me get this straight, so open the trunk pull back the grey trim and find the inertia switch with a button and pushe it back down....correct?

Probably won't even have to move the trim. There's a hole in the trim & a label just above it in mine.

The gray liner in my trunk has a hole in it for easier access to the button.

Did you get it yet?

I will try it today once my girlfriend gets back from school cause it's located on a rural highway and it's about ten miles away, so I'll try it and let you know what happened. Thanks fellas! thumb

Well guys, that was the problem, Thanks alot! When I got that taken care of I ran into another problem and that was it wouldn't start. There's was clicking noise coming from the selenoid when trying to crank it. So I replaced it with a new one and it still did the same thing so I put the old one back on. So I pop the clutch and of course, it the car came on. So once I drove it for about 35 min, I turned the car off to see if it will start on it's own and it did so I don't what's going on with that..maybe one of y'all would know. shrug

dead battery. You probably drained it trying to start the car (to no avail) with the fuel pump shutoff switch triggered. If it starts happening again it may be time for a new battery.
