What can be done to stop the shuddering of the brakes? Will the pp rotors and pads fit on the non pp cars? I can't stand how it shakes the whole car when slowing down quickly. It goes away after a little bit, what causes this?

I don't recall, the brakes feel like they are warped, but 10 minutes driving normally they are fine

What are the best material pads to buy? Rock auto has semi metallic and ceramic "performance pack" pads

Ford OEM Perf Pk rotors & pads really are a great buy for a lasting upgrade, street with some track time. I don't really see viable alternatives on RockAuto TBH. You can routinely get discounted OEM parts from places like LevittownFordSuperCenter, Tasca, EBay, AutoNation ...

More than likely you might have to step up to a Wilwood kit to really up your game in this area, but they are $$$. EBC kits are nice, but Wilwood is that much better. Highly advise you to see if Todd has any front kits left (in stock or available to order). Send an EMail to him right away to get in line in case you do end up wanting to order.

I don't need anything high performance, my brakes need replaced. So I was just going to go with performance pack stuff if I could

Are you sure the ABS isn't coming on?

Do you get any feedback from the steering wheel?

I had the same issues with my '13 non PP, I went with the Powerstop Z32 front brake kit from auto anything.com and for $190 I am very pleased!
It's a slight improvement in brake bite, but the high speed braking is now smooth and no earthquake feel.

Warped rotors usually stay warped, and you can feel it in the steering wheel (although, I'm not so sure the electric power steering would give that much feedback). Are the rotors scored ? But anyway, yeah, either go PP brakes or something aftermarket.

My 2013 PP's brakes were AWESOME. First Ford I've ever had that the rotors didn't warp in the first 5K miles ;)

Yeah that's what I thought, once warped they are junk.. Something is junk, either the pads or rotors... The rotors look a little rough

Depending on the rotors they can be turned (since my new rotors stated a minimum thickness I would say they can be turned). But at the same time, if your normal driving warped the rotors then they're probably going to warp again sooner sense there's now less mass. My 2010 non-PP brakes warped after one semi-spirited drive down a curvy country road. They warped so bad that when braking at any speed above 75 mph the car would shake pretty violently. I upgraded to the 2013 PP brakes and they are great. I've done several aggressive driving trips down curvy roads. Once with a group soon after I upgraded, the guy behind me said I was smoking the brakes (stated once we stopped). Still to this day they aren't warped and smooth. The non-PP brakes (at least for the 10-12 years) warped very easily and the PP brakes are solid.

Another vote for the Powerstop brake kit(s). My '13 did this EXACT same thing and it just ****** me off to no end. Replaced all four corners and it's WAY better in ALL aspects. Cheaper then EBC, but you can't get any EBC kits for '13+ SHO's. Personally I think for the cost I'd go aftermarket over anything OEM.

Good luck with getting your brakes fixed. Keep us posted.

What I noticed with my 2014, is the brakes SOUND like they are warped, as they are very noisy and make a WOOoooo-WOOooooo-WOOoooo coming down from speed. There's never any shaking or shuddering felt in the wheel, and if you cool them off, it goes away. I attribute it to mediocre factory brakes, as mine still stops well during normal driving.

I purchased the Powerstop package, and it's sitting in the garage awaiting my first brake job.

It's not abs... Feels like rotors are warped

I have slotted stoptechs on the front (haven't installed rears yet) with bendix police spec pads. They'll haul you down from 140. They're available in slotted, drilled and stotted+drilled. About 118 each from rock auto. Steer clear of ceramic pads. Semi metalics perform far, better. More initial bite, more fade resistant, and theyre easier on the rotors. Unless you absolutely abhor brake dust...
