My friend just got a 1995 3000GT. It's a 5-speed, and is pretty much all stock except for a K & N.

Anyway, the first thing he said to me was "Wanna race?." I'm sure we'll get around to racing soon, but I'm looking for a heads up. Does my '97 SHO stand a chance? My car is completely stock.

Anyone have any numbers on the cars or any opinions?

The VR4 twin turbo would **** ya. The GT base SL's and STD's have a 3L V6 that develops 222hp @ 6000 rpms, and 205 lbs/ft torque at 4500 rpms. But, it weighs in at nearly 3800 lbs, so I think it'd be a close call.

I'll find out today if it's turbo or not. It sounds like it should be a fun race. I'll keep you posted.

**Edit: It's not turbo. He "says" he'll hopefully put one in next summer (yeah right). Anyway, we have yet to race...
