Just wanted to throw this out there, but just about everyone offering anything for this platform is over priced and gouging. Xdi35 pumps were 1600, but now they can afford to charge 1300 but it probably only cost about $300 to make it. GH intercooler was 800, is now almost 900, but shop cost is probably $200. A stock replacement SHO IC is $97 my shop cost from csf, so I have to imagine it doesn't cost that much more to add about an inch. A set of turbos is anywhere from 2-3.5k depending on option chosen and brand you buy and are basically an upgraded center to stock housing.. EPP Hot pipes are $450, you can piece together a kit for a fraction of that (i know because I'm actively doing it). OBX Catless DPs were $450 at one point but SSW is was around $1k for the same thing. Its kinda strange though that he is the only one being pegged for being "greedy" when just about everyone else is actually doing the gouging. Aside from that a vendor should never has to justify how much work they put into something to sell it, you like the price and part or you don't, buy it or don't. But the BS that's been going on with products since the beginning needs to stop. If you want this platform to keep moving sometimes you have to pay to play and if you want it to die out, then keep on beating down people and vendors that are trying to help.

All I gained from this is that people are refunding cold air intakes because they cost too much and aren't proven.

OH yeah and some crappy song from a guy who sells the REAL PP steering wheel.

P. S. I need this thread to be legendary. I'm bored.

Make the call to the Quantum Mechanic.

Nice catch stripSHO my thoughts exactly.
That's crazy that the entire amount of data on the brake "upgrade" is only that dragy stop. No further testing it's on the consumer to pay out the ass for solely a caliper upgrade and then provide data. Comparing upgraded turbos that increase the efficiency of the turbos and actually increase the life of them due to less wgdc with actual proven results is completely comparable.

You increased the prices on both items you sell. You're brackets were $400 a piece and Lee did so much testing for you for you to charge him full price still. So $400 to $600 on those brackets that do basically nothing until I am proven otherwise and then your intercooler which now has a $400 group buy price that was originally $400 to begin with. It's universal intercooler ebay piping cut to fit and you bead rolled it lol. I guess you overlooked the part where I said I have a buddy who runs a DMG MORI mill and said he could make those brackets for a fraction of the price with a CAD file already made up.

And on top of that you never had the opportunity to sponsor me. You wanted me to tote your products for you while me still having to pay for an aspect of it you don't produce or sell. You wanna run my intercooler kit? Cool, but you gotta go on amazon and buy that intercooler. You want to run my brake adapters? Cool, but you gotta buy up those calipers off Lee. I'll give you the fact that you tried an ungodly amount of times to get me to do something with you but I am not going to run products I don't think make a difference and on top of that I am not going to run products that price gouge the heck out of this platform.

1. Lee didn't pay full price for the adapter brackets, I sold them to him at cost plus I lost $25 of my own money in the process because i wanted to bring them to market and have them tested which never came through like it was supposed to.
2. The $400 bracket price was for a minimum order quantity of 14 sets of brackets. My machining and material costs wont go down unless its a large production run. Therefor to do a random set of brackets here or there yeah I'm gonna add $75 to the cost of them because i developed and designed this setup, why would I make something for free and give it away? Speaking of your buddy, why doesn't he design and manufacture some then sense they are so easily duplicated. Talk is cheap, It's easy to say you have a friend that can make the same thing at a cheaper price.
3. The intercooler piping isn't eBay crap, its quality materials bent, cut and bead rolled all in house with equipment I purchased with my own money. I also provide intercooler mounting solution hardware, and flexible trans hoses to make the integration into the SHO chassis easier on the customer's install along with a detailed instruction/installation manual, there is value there. Not all of us get the discounts and free handouts you receive so yeah, my customers are looking for a better value and quicker in stock lead time than what is currently the go to intercooler mod for this platform.
4. And an FYI, just because you gutted your car, threw every popular platform mod on your vehicle and ran a fast 1/4 pass doesn't mean every mod for the platform has to have your blessing to be a valid improvement.

I agree 100%. However with a niche market you pay the niche market tax.....

I don’t see it. I don’t see these brackets being worth that much. Not even close. It’s a ******* bracket lmfao!!! It’s so high of a price if someone bought a set and then made a bunch of duplicates and sold them for 169.99 I wouldn’t be surprised, my jaw wouldn’t drop. I know this is way more complicated than a phenolic spacer...

It's hard to top threads that don't include our friend Mr. Selcer. I've intentionally stayed out as I really don't have a dog in this fight, and I personally like many of the folks who seem to be disagreeing with each other. So I'm staying out of it. Unlike Mr. Selcer who often felt it necessary to denigrate and verbally abuse, AKA internet bully, members here...

Jordan, people can make their own conclusions from this thread as the original OP who was just looking for brake options available for the SHO.
At the time I thought you would be good marketing material with how popular your build and progress was becoming. I'm glad nothing came of it because your attitude and how you conduct yourself doesn't align with my personal or company image.

So don't get the otterbox case if you want to use a pen, and it also doesn't fit well with the bumpers that Microsoft includes.
I returned my case. I'm currently waiting for a holster from Kensington.
Also software updates are monthly and next one is supposed to bring Android 11. There are a few issues with screen rotation currently where you have to be more deliberate with rotations but I've only really noticed it in YouTube and when trying to change which screen is gaming.

With my Note 10, I have to be really deliberate with rotations. It is damn annoying..esp with Youtube.

100% agree...it's the pro's and con's of a free market...

I've learned a long time ago that a smile on my face is pretty priceless, so I press on with builds and often spend more money than I probably should. But hey, if I'm getting good smiles-per-gallon, than to me, the money was well spent.

Answers in bold.

Just wanted to throw this out there, but just about everyone offering anything for this platform is over priced and gouging. Xdi35 pumps were 1600, but now they can afford to charge 1300 but it probably only cost about $300 to make it. (Actual engineered, proven and tested fuel system that fulfills an actual problem in this platform price comparable to only competition lms) GH intercooler was 800, is now almost 900, (still 799 and took several generations, cores and hundreds of Dyno pulls, also made from a very specific core and still within a hundred bucks of the new competitor for a bolt in oem fitment intercooler if not accounting for "group" proving) but shop cost is probably $200. A stock replacement SHO IC is $97 my shop cost from csf, so I have to imagine it doesn't cost that much more to add about an inch. A set of turbos is anywhere from 2-3.5k (machined, tested, several iterations, rebuilding the cores, proper turbine and compressor matching, wastegate sizing, compare to almost any other name brand hybrid turbo) depending on option chosen and brand you buy and are basically an upgraded center to stock housing.. EPP Hot pipes are $450, you can piece together a kit for a fraction of that (i know because I'm actively doing it). (Solution to real problem, no competition, welded additions, custom bent piping, compare to almost any other hard piping kit in pricing) OBX Catless DPs were $450 (my obx rusted and broke at the ******) at one point but SSW is was around $1k for the same thing. (While I do agree downpipes are expensive there is a lot of competition in that area) Its kinda strange though that he is the only one being pegged for being "greedy" (cough LMS) when just about everyone else is actually doing the gouging.
