Feels like my 93 MTX has a mushy feeling engagement for both second and fifth gear, and selecting gears it's to the point where I don't know if it has engaged or not.

205k miles. Clutch is tough to the leg. Can't shift quickly. I'm thinking this is a pressure plate issue? If so, what should it cost to repair at a shop?

If you hear a noise when the clutch is depressed, it is most likely the Throw Out Bearing (TOB) and correspondingly, your fingers on the pressure plate.
There has never been a clutch that was easier on you leg than a SHO clutch, until you start breaking through the pressure plate finger tips.
I don't know what the mushy comment means. But as you chew through the finger tips, the release of the clutch disc occurs later in the travel until your bite point is in the carpet on you clutch travel.
You can find a thread on this forum that Pepboys will supply and install a clutch for $500.00, but that depends on you association with Pepboys.
Realistically, the clutch is around $300.00 (has been as low as 150 on sell offs), and a good price for the install is $500.00. The install involves taking off the y-pipe and lowering the sub-frame, so start cleaning and soaking your exhaust studs and sub-frame bolts now.... as that adds to the cost when they don't cooperate. Make sure that the re-surfacing of the flywheel is included.
Shop around for some motor / transmission mounts if you are suspicious of yours, and get a rear main seal just in case you need it.
Only do this event at a shop that does this as a regular thing. This is the most important point.
