Punch a hole in them. Seriously, you just need to get new mufflers. Flowmasters can be had on ebay for 120 for the pair. Take 10 bucks a week and put it aside, in three months you can get them, right in time for summer.

Flowmasters will give you the sound you are looking for. Summit Racing(1 800 230 3030) has them for around $75 a pop if you don't go ebay. Most opt for the 40 series but if you want an even more argressive sound, go for the single chamber race mufflers(same price).

I have Flowmaster on my 91+. I love them. In my opinion they sound better than any other aftermarket system I've seen / heard.

If you get the Bullet mufflers they will be the last ones you buy. Be sure they use SS rod or wire when they weld them in.

Had mine for over 6 years now and the welds have been redone twice now.

She is 8 years old now, and I am still waiting for something to go wrong with th stock mufflers, or any part of the exhaust for that matter, so I can justify replacing them. No luck so far...

If you're on a tight budget, just have the 3rd cat and resonator removed and that will make it about 50% louder. Shouldn't be more than $100 at most exhaust shops, although the 3rd cat they may be reluctant to touch.

Yep, tried to get them to do that when I got my flows installed but they said they can't touch it. Even offered an extra $60 under the table if they did it ... no go.

I took mine to Midas and ask them to put new bolts in the cat ******. Then went home cut the cat & flex loose with the sawzall and then bolted the bigger flex tube on.

Use the Gen 2 ATX exhaust gasket. Much cheaper than the Gen 3 SS gasket. Or at least use to be.

Mine has Borla's and it sounds great, I'm always getting compliments on the way it sounds. Had some people say when they heard it they were looking to see a Muscle car but end up seeing only a Taurus.

Trust what shoz123 is telling you if i can find the extra money i would get the bullets but i have prioritys so i cant RIGHT NOW but i will hundred percent get the bullets. flowmasters arent bad i had them on my old 97 but they start to get rusted in 1 or 2 years especially if you live in the salt belt or live in nj.
