Well about two months ago I was driving through town at about 25 and all of a sudden it felt like I hit a post. So I pulled over and didn't notice anything as it was dark out. When I got home I noticed that tranny fluid was pouring out. So I took it to my buddies house and dropped the tranny that night and put in his old one, which he ran dry and lost reverse so he put in a new tranny and still didn't have reverse so then he replaced his clutch and the new tranny worked so neither of us really knew if his other tranny was bad or not but needless to say I pulled an all nighter to put it in and I have no reverse so my plan now is to take the two trannies apart and use the gears from mine and the cases and differential from his to make one good one(my problem was my differential went boom). So my question is how hard would it be to do this and I would purchase the shonut performance mtx rebuild video and I am overall fairily above average mechanically? Thanks for you help sorry for the long post.

It sounds like that with the SHO NUT MTX video you will be capable of putting together a working transaxle. The driving behavior that cost you a differential should be examined against the cost and physical effort spent to replace the transaxle.

Thanks for the help. And as far as driving behavior there are times where I may feel the need to leave a little rubber but I believe what led up to this is for the past few days the side roads were slick but the main roads were dry with some slick spots and just pulling out one wheel would get traction then the other and they would just go back and forth and you could just feel that this wasnt good and then she finally went when one of the pins fell out of the differential. Thanks again for your help I suppose I will order that video in the next couple of days and undertake this task shortly thereafter. Later, Seth
