Well, I have been wanting to take a vacation to the upper north east. Looks like Mass it is. How long will this take you in your shop?

SHODWN-- Is this going to be available as an all parts inclusive package deal? and is this something that your shop would install?
Assume for the time being that this will require custom installation at NESHO or other locations Kirk may decide he trusts, and not a DIY kit that can just be UPS'd to your door.

A lot will depend on how smoothly the next two installs go and what kind of challenges we run into in trying to realize repeatable results.

I can install anything, but fabricating has never been a strong point. If I have to replace axles yearly I'd be fine with that also. It would just be awesome to drive a car without an ax4n. Shoot I'd almost rather drive my wifes Caravan around than my slush box.

Well when my AX4N goes to the big junkyard in the sky, hopefully this will be an affordable alternative. I've always wanted a gen III with a stick. Awesome job guys!

True. I'd have to guess I'd be one of the "other" shops installing these. I'll have to do mine first to make sure its viable, proper, and can be repeated with no issues.

I'll leave the '97 with you after the convention.......

Paul - change of heart? I thought you wanted a 6 speed slushbox?

Hope these kits let people learn the way the car was supposed to be - mines been a joy for going on two years now.. Sure the trans itself is different but the ratios are about the same and while I haven't driven the MTX IV V8 I suspect ti drives quite similarly.

I drove Ryan's car for all of about 5 min before I broke it, and it felt right at home with the MTX IV.

Well let me give you the motivation that numerous people gave me...

I don't think you can do it. Or better yet "Why would you want to do that"?

Now, please go "prove" me wrong. Given the time patience and money anything is possible like I told countless people.

Quick, cheap and done right - pick any two also applies. My MTX conversion certainly wasn't quick.

Overall it was cheap,

I hope that implies it was done right for a hackjob former farmboy now living in the suburbs....
